Welcome to Remedios Kane, the site for mentoring creative skills. I am Vivian Kane, a senior consultant with 35 years experience guiding personal, business and societal transformation. My author name is Angela M. Remedios.
This site offers workshops and private sessions in which I mentor participants to create and execute their Big Vision for a Better Life, Business or World. The focus is to build and train your creative power to achieve real world goals.
“Transformation is the art of making the Journey to a new Vision of yourself. Success is the ability to live the Vision while the Journey continues.” Excerpt

Workshops and Private Sessions
build skills while moving forward
Workshops and Private Sessions walk you through the “steps” for creating your Big Vision. You take away a list of “to-do’s” and reflect on decisions before the next session. Our apps prompt you and help you record ideas.
Following are examples of Workshop topics, showing how level of complexity rises as goals increase. There are more than 5 levels of complexity, but for now this site is focusing on mentoring Levels 1 to 5.
• Level 1: create a better living space; or rebalance your life (after change)
• Level 2: create a vision for your work (adapt to change or new frontiers)
• Level 3: create a vision for self-sufficiency or self-employment
• Level 4: create a vision for a business team to achieve better results
• Level 5: create a vision for a business or large initiative to achieve a goal
Each Level follows the same steps, but there are additional skills and insights needed as complexity increases. We will cover that in the mentoring.

What People Say About
how I have helped them create
Below are excerpts from client references over the years. I was most often contracted to lead large transformation initiatives, but separate from that I also delivered workshops that guided people to create their vision.
Create a Better Life
To create a “Better Life” you must be able to achieve personal goals, personal growth, career development, self-employment or a micro business, self-sufficiency and work-life balance. “Life” level workshops mentor people in the insights and skills to achieve these ideals. Following are participant comments:
Create a Better Business
“Business” spans small to global enterprises as well as public service administration. To create a “Better Business” you must be able to describe precisely the problems that your business initiative will solve as well as the key to solving each problem. Following are comments from clients I guided to success:
Create a Better World
“World” refers to complex initiatives that involve people, businesses, government, the economy and society in a geographical or virtual location. To create a “Better World” one must address the needs of all involved, and not just the needs of some. Following are comments from some initiatives I guided to success:
Highlights of Expertise
My creative career began at age 16, when my artwork led to contracts with agencies and government. My business career began at age 19 when my results in optimizing a business impressed its network of venture partners.
I did not come from a business background, but I had powerful creative skills that I applied fluently to business, where they consistently produced outstanding results. My mission is to pass on some of those skills through mentoring.

The Work Tool is the first of a set of 3 apps. It helps you gather your ideas and clarify what you are trying to create. It develops a picture of your goal and the direction you must take to get there. It guides you to reflect on, clarify and aim for what you really need to achieve.
This app focuses on creating. It encourages ideas to emerge. When using this app, do not analyze or plan. Just let the ideas come to you, then note the key points. You ideas will be rough, with plenty of gaps and questions. Do not try to perfect your ideas — you will refine them as you go.
The Check List is the second of the set of 3 apps. It helps you check, test and refine your ideas. It prompts you to look deeper into your ideas, and address considerations that did not occur to you initially. You may find yourself going back to refine your ideas in the Work Tool as well.
This app helps you create a realistic picture of your goal. Try to answer its questions as honestly as possible. It is guiding you to look at decisions that are essential to success. This will help you develop a goal that you can achieve, while still producing the results that matter to you.
The Score Card is the third of the set of 3 apps. It helps you assess the accuracy and consistency of your picture. It shows you where to hone in to improve your chances for success. You can use this app from the start, but it is better to wait until your ideas refine into a clear picture with few gaps.
This app objectively assesses your readiness to achieve your goal. On each question, a GREEN score (9 or more) tells you that your ideas are consistent. A RED score (below 3) indicates lack of clarity. The feedback for each question suggests where to reflect deeper, or confirms what you are doing well.
